My Story

Hi! My name is Azi, and I have spent over a decade teaching students of various backgrounds. My journey started by working with children on the spectrum. The focus of my sessions was on strengthening their social awareness as well as their fine and motor skills.

After a couple of years, my interest in behavior and personality traits led me to work with children who had difficulty regulating their emotions and communicating their needs. I spent many years teaching students who were overcoming challenges caused by ADHD, ADD, ODD, anxiety, depression, Asperger’s, ASD, Dyscalculia, and Dyslexia to name a few.

During my years of working with children with behavior challenges, I realized how underlying factors could go unnoticed and destruct students’ academic performance and self-confidence. I, hence, decided to get my Orton Gillingham certification to help my students with a multi-sensory approach to reading, writing, and math.  I enjoy what I do immensely and could not have chosen a better career!

Fun fact about me: I am a half marathon runner. Up until a year ago, I would run one or two half marathons per year. Last year I had a hamstring repair surgery (caused by an unfortunate accident) which has put a pause on my running. I am still going through rehab and can not wait to share more about my recovery and resume running!
