My Story

Hello! My name is Grace Horton, and this is my sixth year as an educator. I live in North Little Rock, Arkansas and when I am not teaching, I run an online clothing boutique. I have no
children of my own, so I often tell my students at school that they are like my kids!

I am currently a high school Dyslexia Interventionist, grades 9th - 12th. Previously, I have taught first grade, middle/ high school Special Education and I coached 9th grade Dance Team.

I have enjoyed all teaching positions that I have held, but Literacy is truly my passion! As a student who was pulled for reading intervention during elementary school, I know the power that individual instruction can make!

I have an Masters in Reading (December 2020) and Specialists in Reading (August 2022) both from Arkansas State University. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in May 2017.

I am certified in Wilson Reading System 1 as well as Wilson Fundations Phonics. I am currently working towards my Wilson
Practicum and plan to complete in May 2023.

I love teaching and building relationships with my students. I provide engaging lessons that your student is sure to enjoy and see growth from!

I look forward to working with you and your student soon!
