My Story

As a mom, I know that we all want our children to be happy and to reach their full potential. When they struggle, we want to do everything we can to help them succeed. As a teacher, I am passionate about giving students the tools they need to succeed, so they can experience pride knowing they are improving their literacy skills.

I have been teaching for 25+ years, and continue to educate myself on research-based methods to help children with dyslexia, dysgraphia, developmental language disorder, and ADHD.

As an Orton Gillingham certified instructor, I am able to guide students in the many aspects of structured literacy, including phonemic awareness, letter-sound relationships, syllable patterns, morphemes, vocabulary, sentence structure, paragraph structure, fluency, and reading comprehension strategies.
