My career began in the classroom, where I spent over a decade teaching in Carroll and Baltimore County, Maryland. I taught 2nd through 5th grade and later specialized in supporting multilingual learners.

While I loved working with students, I discovered that my true strength and passion lie in organization, systems, and helping others behind the scenes.

During the pandemic, I launched my own tutoring business, which gave me firsthand experience in balancing instruction with business operations. That experience revealed what I enjoy most—the management side of education—coordinating schedules, organizing systems, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Since the very beginning of My Happy Teacher, I’ve been working alongside Kathy to turn ideas into reality, streamline operations, and keep projects on track. As the “chaos coordinator,” I focus on building systems that allow our tutors and families to feel supported and confident every step of the way. I also enjoy helping other educational business owners streamline their systems and build processes, so they can focus on the creative work while I manage the background operations.

I live in Maryland with my husband, our son Ryker, and our pup Lilly. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me chasing after a very energetic toddler, diving into the latest book club pick, or enjoying a Bravo show with an iced coffee in hand.
