Marilyn has a Master’s degree in Education, is Board Certified in Special Education, and is certified as a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner. Marilyn holds active licenses as an administrator of both special and general education, as well as licenses as a special and general educator in both Massachusetts and Florida. After retiring in 2021, Marilyn and her husband moved to Florida where she enjoys spending time outdoors, amateur photography, and, of course, reading.
Testimonials
When my son was diagnosed with dyslexia and was going to have to repeat first grade, I started looking for tutors and found My Happy Teacher. Kathy Cousineau (Owner and CEO) was able to match my child with one of her amazing online tutors. Her lessons are fun and engaging, my son adores her, and he has made remarkable progress in his reading skills since he started seeing her. In addition, Kathy was able to connect me with one of her parent coaches who has truely helped me be a better advocate for my son. I can't say enough about this wonderful group of people at My Happy Teacher. They're the best. - Leigh Quievryn
