My Story

Hello! My name is Rhonda Martinez and I am a classroom teacher turned education specialist in the on-line world. I have been teaching on-line since 2016. Aside from teaching 3rd-8th grade for 13+ years and adult ed. classes in the classroom, I also have experience teaching neurodiverse students, which is how I earned my experience with multi-sensory approaches. Multi-Sensory learning is truly for everyone and makes the learning experience engaging and creates stronger neural connections, which can improve memory retention and mental cognition! My extensive experience and training includes Orton Gillingham, Paragraphology, Framing Your Thoughts, and Verbalizing and Visualizing. 

I have a Master's Degree from McDaniel College, which allows me to teach Elementary Education 1st - 6th grade, TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) to Kindergarten - 12th grade, and Language Arts/English to 4th - 9th grade, along with ancillary credits in Special Education and Reading 12. 

So who am I, really? I have two beautiful adult children and a clever grandson. I also have a cat and a hedgehog! I discovered an unknown passion of running and am proud to say that I have completed many half marathons and one full marathon, many of those in Disney! I cannot get enough of Disney, Harry Potter, Legos, reading, dancing, and enjoying delicious coffee!
