My Story

I’m Conor, I’m from Ireland, and I’ve been teaching since 2016. I hold a Master’s in Education, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (focusing on Applied Linguistics), and have Certified training in Orton-Gillingham. I also have a Cambridge CELTA to teach English to non-native speakers.

My passion for teaching began when I started working at Camp Spring Creek, a dyslexia-focused summer camp in North Carolina. There, I provided one-on-one instruction and guided a team of international instructors; experiences that shaped my belief in the power of individualized, supportive teaching.

I have extensive experience supporting learners with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, dysgraphia, and other learning differences. I work with students from age 7 through adulthood, with a special passion for helping those who, like me, haven’t always felt at home in traditional academic settings. My goal is to create a positive, engaging learning environment where every student feels understood, supported, and capable of success.

I try to bring patience, creativity, and flexibility to every lesson. Every student is different, every day is different, and so every lesson will be different. However, I always want to focus on their skills, and provide them with tools to navigate the situations they struggle with.

A fun fact about me is that I have taught in 12 different countries.
